In-Office Laser Procedures
The latest technology in flexible fiberoptics has allowed us to have the thin flexible telescope which we pass through the nose and gives unprecedented illumination and exposure of the larynx (voice box). One type of laryngoscope has a small channel down its entire length which allows us to pass tiny instruments into the larynx comfortably. We have a laser fiber that we are able to pass through that same channel and treat a variety of laryngeal (vocal cord) lesions. Using the laser in the office allows us to stay out of the operating with many patients - certainly a huge advantage!
