Wellness Screening for Voice Students
Dr. Carter Wright, assistant professor of Otolaryngology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, holds a “wellness screening” for voice students at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. This gives the students a chance to see their "instrument” and provides them with valuable visual information about how their vocal folds appear and function. The screening also acts as a baseline examination for the performers, so that changes can easily be detected when and if the singer has difficulty with his or her voice.
