The weight loss surgery information session is conducted by Dr. "Fuzz" Fernandez and Dr. Stephen McNatt, and describes the process for weight loss surgery evaluation, the risks and benefits of surgery, and explains the nutritional needs, exercise commitment, and follow-up expectations. Classes are offered bimonthly and will last approximately 90 minutes.  Family or friends are welcome to attend.

Directions:

Heading East from Statesville/Hickory/Charlotte:

Take 1-40 East, then continue East on Business 40 into downtown Winston Salem.  Take the Cherry St. exit 5-C onto High Street.  The front entrance of the hotel is immediately on your right.

Heading West from Raleigh/Greensboro/High Point:

Take 1-40 West, then take Business 40 split (exit 206) into downtown Winston Salem.  Take the Cherry St. exit 5-C onto Cherry St.  Turn left at the first traffic light onto First St.  Turn left at the next traffic light onto Marshall St.  Cross over Business 40 and through the next traffic light.  As you head downhill, the hotel's rear parking entrance will be on your right.  Turn into the parking lot and drive around the building to the hotel's front entrance.

This session is highly recommended prior to your appointment with the Bariatric Surgery Team.
