The candidate for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will need to provide high levels of quality care in a busy medical practice. The candidate will need to exhibit compassionate care, ensure patient satisfaction and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The CMA work alongside providers to promote and restore patient's health in compliance with his/her certification by performing responsible duties. Other responsibilities include assuring completeness and accuracy of registration data, assisting the physician with procedures as needed, documenting appropriate medical information, and scheduling appointments for testing and follow- up as directed by the provider. Requirements: Diploma in Medical Assisting or an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Medical Assisting. Must be certified through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or be registered with the American Medical Technology as a Registered Medical Assistant and have BCLS certification. Applicants with previous professional Medical Assisting experience in a fast-paced physician practice or medical office setting are preferred. The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 8 am-6 pm, Friday 8 am-5 pm and rotating Saturdays 8 am-12 pm.
