Visual Art Galleries

Pastel Artwork

There are 8 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery.

Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.  The current exhibit will be displayed throught the last week in September.

Commons Gallery

James Williams displays infrared film photography of various themes in nature.

Family Medicine Gallery

Rod Hunter of Lewisville displays his nature photography, including butterflies and flowers.

Reynolds Gallery

Jim Thompson of Archdale shows his various pottery pieces, including vases, bowls, boats and birdhouses.

Sticht Gallery

  • Gallery 1: Karen Hocutt's pastel paintings in this gallery include florals, landscapes and abstracts.
  • Gallery 2: Chad and Stacey Hall of King show their colorful nature photography, including flowers and landscapes.

Spine Gallery

The North Carolina Wildlife Artists from different parts of our state have put together a large show of photos, and watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings, all depicting different animals in natural settings.

Surgical Services

Dr. Doug Butler of Crumpler displays landscapes of North Carolina.

Watlington Gallery

Dr. Brandon Drafts displays his series " Antelope Canyon", photos taken while visiting these rock formations.

Executive Suite Gallery

Kevin Browder displays colorful oil paintings with many varied themes.  Dr. Doug Butler displays his travel photography.
