Visual Art Galleries
There are 8 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery.
Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts & Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen. The current exhibit will be displayed throught the last week in September.
Colorful works on display are created by the artists from the Fellowship Home under the guidance of Alex Norwood.
Family Medicine Gallery
Virginia Kassay displays her vibrant acrylic paintings of various themes including animals, holidays, flowers and Africia.
Phyllis Haile of Roaring Gap, NC, has created clay vases, sculptures and other prieces with an accent on nature an design.
Shannon, Raleigh, NC, displays her acrylic cityscapes as well as her mixed
media works depicting nautical life. Beth Denholm of Durham, NC exhibits
her traditional watercolor and acrylic paintings of our natural world.
The Fourteenth Annual Employee Art Show is displayed in this gallery.
Geismar from Greensboro, NC, displays her brightly colorful watercolors of
exhibits large digital prints of beach scenes at the NC coast.
