MLK Day Celebration is January 18

Enjoy lunch and join us for a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., on Friday, January 18, from noon to 1 pm at Ardmore Cafeteria, sponsored by the Council for Inclusion and Diversity. The celebration will include readings by Medical Center staff and a musicial performance by Emmanuel Baptist Church Mass Choir.

The Specialty Bar in Ardmore Cafeteria will feature some of Dr. King's favorite foods, including:

  • Fried pork chops
  • Greens
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Sweet potato pie
  • Pecan pie

Employees are asked to bring canned goods to be donated to local food pantries.

About the Emmanuel Baptist Church Mass Choir

The Mass Choir is a combination of all the choirs in the church. They have a repertoire of songs that hold to the "traditional mass choir sound" and include traditional, contemporary and "neo" or urban gospel. The Mass Choir is co-directed by Constance Daniels and Cynthia Williams.
