Wake Forest Baptist Health is excited to announce a new era of technology in patient care. On Sept. 22, 2012, we transitioned to a new integrated electronic medical record system designed to help create a better experience for you. Your medical care is always our top priority, and this new system is considered the most secure and advanced medical information system in health care.
It will provide many improvements and new capabilities, including major advances in how we share information with you and with your other care providers, along with greater efficiency in our clinics. It will allow us to securely document, consolidate, coordinate and instantly access information vital to your care.
As our caregivers and staff learn the new system, you may temporarily notice longer wait times. We will minimize any disruptions as much as possible; however, we appreciate your patience during the transition.
One of the advances enabled by our new computer system is a patient communications portal called myWakeHealth. This will allow you to access pertinent health information on file with Wake Forest Baptist Health online anytime and communicate via email with your care team.
