Downs Brian WilliamBrian Downs, MD, FACS

Dr. Brian Downs, an otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck. Dr. Downs joined Wake Forest Baptist Health in 2012 from Evergreen ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery in Morganton, NC. His expertise includes the full spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery, including rhinoplasty, facelifts, necklifts, browlifts, blepharoplasty and facial reconstruction. His passion is rhinoplasty and nasal reconstruction, and he enjoys the challenge of developing a customized treatment plan individualized for each patient. He also performs minimally invasive procedures including BOTOX®, injectable fillers, skin peels, dermabrasion, scar revisions and lip augmentations.

With more than 12 years of training, Dr. Downs completed medical school and a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. After practicing on the faculty at OHSU for almost three years, Dr. Downs, a native of North Carolina, established Evergreen ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery in Morganton.

Dr. Downs is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. In his free time, Dr. Downs enjoys outdoor adventures, running, hiking and Tae Kwon Do.

Wallin Jordan LJordan L. Wallin, MD

Dr. Jordan Wallin specializes in caring for patients with both non-surgical and surgical cosmetic and reconstructive concerns.

He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah, medical school at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences and a five-year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Health. His extensive training has given him first-class experience in the complex surgical treatment and care of head and neck cancer, trauma and cosmetic and reconstructive patients. After residency, Dr. Wallin accepted a fellowship at McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic in Gulf Shores, Alabama, where he sub-specialized in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and has passed the examination given by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Wallin performs a wide spectrum of cosmetic facial surgeries including facelift, endoscopic forehead lift, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty (eyelid), otoplasty and cheek and chin implants. He also specializes in minimally invasive treatments with neuromodulating agents such as Botox® and filling agents including Restylane®, Radiesse® and Juvederm®. In addition, his surgical training has given him expertise in reconstructive surgery including maxillofacial trauma, facial reanimation, scar revision, facial skin cancer, and reconstruction of traumatic and genetic abnormalities. His recent research focuses on patient outcomes for minimally invasive brow lifting using endoscopic techniques and the development of a new post-surgical facelift dressing to minimize discomfort.

He lives with his wife and five children in Winston-Salem, where they enjoy family activities together in the outdoors, including waterskiing, cycling and camping.

Tammy Nester

Tammy Nester has been involved in facial plastic surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Health since 1999. Her role as a member of the facial plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery team is to assist patients with scheduling and payments, with the goal of providing a convenient, high quality health care experience. She is responsible for scheduling new and return appointments and making any ancillary appointments for patients. She also coordinates cosmetic and insurance billable surgery and is available to answer questions patients may have about appointments or billing.
