Question: What brought you to Wake Forest Baptist?

Answer: Born in Charlotte and raised in Greensboro, I am a North Carolinian through and through. After completing my specialty training in dermatology, I knew Wake Forest Baptist Health would be an incredible place to start my career due to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Q: What are your clinical specialties?

A: General adult and pediatric dermatology with an interest in complex medical dermatology and autoimmune disorders.

Q: Why did you decide to become a dermatologist?

A: Dermatology provides incredible depth and breadth as a medical specialty. As a dermatologist, I see patients of all ages with a diverse range of conditions that are often not only skin limited. Since disease presentations can vary greatly, I enjoy the emphasis on accurate history taking and challenge of subtle physical exam findings.

Q: What is your patient care philosophy?

A: Treating every patient as an individual. Delivering care that is compassionate and up to date in a way that is meaningful to my patients.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working with patients?

A: Developing caring and trusting relationships with my patients. As physicians, we are given a great responsibility and privilege to be there for our patients in their time of greatest need. I enjoy hearing about my patients’ interests, beliefs, and lives.

Q: What fun facts should we know about you?

A: My hobbies include traveling, reading, and photography. My parents immigrated to this country about a year before I was born and I am the only one in my family born in the United States.
