JOB SUMMARY:
Assists the Manager with managing, planning, organizing, training and monitoring staff development in order to ensure receivables are submitted accurately within the standards set by the Medical Center leadership and regulatory guidelines. This position provides leadership and direction in developing and maintaining systems, processes and work flows to ensure the corporate revenue cycle is compliant with federal and state regulations as they apply. Works closely with other department directors, associate directors, managers, physicians, Corporate Revenue Cycle staff, information technology staff as well as third party payers as applicable. Performs and handles duties of the manager in their absence.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent in Billing and Collections

Manager

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides direction, guidance, organization and planning to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
2. Assists the Manager with specific tasks in order to achieve departmental financial objectives.
3. Implement new applications and upgrades to systems to ensure department efficiency.
4. Collaborates with the Manager on courses of action to keep staff informed and updated on issues that directly affect the billing & collections processes.
5. Assists and maintain staff and staff job results.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Overall knowledge of general office practices and procedures
Strong background in all aspects of Healthcare billing and collection laws and practices
Knowledge of Equal Opportunity Commission regulations and requirements
Working knowledge of all Federal and State laws as they pertain to all insurance types
Developed knowledge of medical terminology
Working knowledge of CRC reporting of aged receivables
Working knowledge of compliance regulatory billing guidelines
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of medical coding
Effective skills in the areas of self-assertiveness, communication, organization and motivation
