The Department of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (SBES) of Wake Forest University School of Medicine has an excellent opportunity for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship. The successful candidate will initiate and maintain active research programs and contribute to the educational mission of the department at the graduate level. We are seeking applicants across areas of biomedical engineering, synergistic with the current research strategic plan for Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Particular disease areas of interest include cancer, aging, diabetes, and regenerative medicine. Technology areas include imaging and nanomedicine. All areas in keeping with the research strategic plan will be considered.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering (or related engineering field)
- Record of excellent scholarship in Biomedical Engineering
- Demonstrated motivation to make major contributions to a visionary plan
