Manager, Corporate Revenue Cycle


JOB SUMMARY:
Promotes the financial viability of the Medical Center by effectively managing all aspects of revenue cycle operations through effective communication and positive customer service, including day-to-day management of departmental staff; modifying and maintaining policies; continually seeking mechanisms to streamline and automate processes; and building and maintaining corporate, vendor and payer relationships. Responsible for managing, planning, organizing, training and monitoring staff development in order to ensure receivables are submitted accurately within the standards set by the Medical Center leadership and regulatory guidelines. Provides leadership and direction in developing and maintaining systems, processes and work flows to ensure the corporate revenue cycle is compliant with federal and state regulations as they apply. Works closely with other department directors, associate directors, managers, physicians, Corporate Revenue Cycle staff, information technology staff as well as third party payers as applicable. Develops and maintains a harmonious work environment. Exhibits effective interpersonal skills and provides direction and assistance to assigned personnel in development of these skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experience in Billing and Collections.

Associate Director

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides direction, guidance, organization and planning to insure maximum productivity and efficiency.
2. Provides professional liaison between all clinical departments, patient, patient representatives, and external agencies to ensure department image
3. Ensures that specific tasks are completed in order to achieve departmental financial objectives.
4. Prepares specialized/related financial reports to ensure timely and accurate financial management information
5. Implement new applications and upgrades to systems to ensure department efficiency as well as departmental policy and procedures to support department efficiency
6. Personnel management.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Overall knowledge of general office practices and procedures
Strong background in all aspects of Healthcare billing and collection laws and practices
Knowledge of Equal Opportunity Commission regulations and requirements
Working knowledge of all Federal and State laws as they pertain to all insurance types
Developed knowledge of medical terminology
Working knowledge of CRC reporting of aged receivables
Working knowledge of compliance regulatory billing guidelines
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of medical coding
Effective skills in the areas of self-assertiveness, communication, organization and motivation
