Responsible for recruiting qualified nursing and hard to fill candidates in a timely manner for job openings in departments serviced. Along with HR Business Partners, monitors employee activity including turnover/transfers and recommends or coordinates actions which improve morale and retention of employees in departments serviced. Recruitment process will require travel to career events and conferences that require work on weekends and evenings and time away from home. Recruiters will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required. Must be skilled in social networking and have proven recruitment strategies for nurse recruitment.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree required in Nursing, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, plus 3 years of previous interviewing experience for clinical positions, Healthcare or Hospital experience preferred.

Reports To:

Manager, Medical Center Staffing Services

Licensure, Certification and/or Registration:

RN License preferred.

Essential Functions:

Screens and interviews candidates to a slate of 3 to 5 applicants through utilization of functional knowledge and critical skill set. Routes qualified applicants to departments based on departmental needs and the qualifications of the applicant. Leverages technology to increase efficiency and timeliness of the recruiting process.

Executes the sourcing strategy utilizing his/her sourcing capabilities, internal sourcing resources, and/or manages the relationship for external resources, sourcing events. Act as a liaison with the community agencies/businesses to recruit and secure qualified applicants by representing the Medical Center in the community.

Generates target compensation offer and negotiates with candidate. Upon the candidate's acceptance of the job offer ensure all pre employment activities are scheduled and completed.

Establish, cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the business unit and its recruitment needs and to develop and maintain a strong rapport with key leaders in the department.

Maintains a working knowledge of employment law, regulatory requirements, and related Medical Center policies and procedures.

Maintains a thorough awareness of candidate supply and demand in assigned employment areas.

Researches and benchmarks recruitment methods and trends, as well as, partners with HRIS to recommend technology solutions and/or modifications.

Utilizes the computer system to track the progress of the requisitions, perform queries, and manage applicants.

Perform other employment and recruiting activities such as assisting with the design and placement of advertisements and Medical Center/community information for applicants.

Knowledgeable of advanced search & sourcing techniques
Influencing hiring managers

Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities
Strong business acumen
Proficiency in Microsoft excel, work, outlook and PowerPoint

Experience working with applicant tracking systems(PeopleSoft 8.9+)

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good Negotiation Skills
