Regular full-time 9 hr. day shift 36 hrs/wk; current license to practice in North Carolina and BLS certification required and ACLS preferred; minumum of two years nursing experience with at least one year critical care experience.
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for rendering professional, technical and age appropriate post anesthesia nursing care for post surgical and post anesthetic patients. The individual in this position provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process and directs or supervises support staff and collaborates with physicians and multi-disciplinary team members.
Education / Experience: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.Minimum of two-years nursing experience, with at least one year in critical care, Pediatric experience and PACU setting preferred.Pediatric Critical Care experience is preferred for the Pediatric PACU setting. Refresher course required for nurses who have not worked in an acute setting for five years or more.
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina (in all PACU settings) Outpatient PACU setting: Current BLS & ACLS (or completion of ACLS with one year of hire)
