We offer:
Convenient Location
We are located in the High Point corridor of Highway 68 and Wendover Avenue. When you need care, finding a solution that is either close to your work or home is important. No parking deck mazes or hospital to get lost in - at Premier Imaging, you can easily park in our large lot and then walk right into our building.
We located our check-in area right as you enter, so you are immediately greeted and helped. All paperwork and payment are handled at check in, so that you don’t need to deal with anything after your appointment is over.
Comfortable Interior
Comfortable, private interior - We designed our interior with as much thought given to the equipment space needed as to your comfort needs. Soothing colors, plush seating, a coffee bar, WiFi, private women’s-only area and soft gowns. Even our equipment offers more comfort, with lower exam tables that offer easier access for patients with limited mobility. And X-ray components that are wireless and removable/movable according to your mobility or circumstance.
Cutting-Edge Technology
Unsurpassed technology and equipment was a given for us - Premier Imaging has invested in a comprehensive array of cutting-edge diagnostic imaging equipment, from digital X-ray and MRI units to a 40-slice CT, and the latest digital mammography platform. We are committed to bringing proven technology to you.
Our Accreditation
The American College of Radiology (ACR) gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.
The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 34,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
Premier Imaging is proud to announce that we have met ACR standards and have been accredited in the following modalities since 2010:
- CT
- MRI
- Mammography
- Ultrasound
Imaging Services
Premier Imaging has invested in a Siemens Somatom Definition AS 40 Slice CT. This is the world’s first adaptive computed tomography (CT) scanner, which adapts to virtually any patient, allowing even the most clinically challenging patients (i.e., trauma and bariatric patients) to be imaged rapidly, from head to toe, without difficulty.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a noninvasive way for your doctor to examine your organs, tissues and skeletal system. It uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within your body.
At Premier Imaging, we use the Siemens Magnetom Avanto with revolutionary Total Imaging Matrix (TIM) technology. This next-generation MRI technology provides superb MR imaging to reveal a new dimension of details, while dramatically improving patient experiences with greater speed (up to 50% faster), quiet and comfort.
A mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breast.
At Premier Imaging, we have made investments in some of the latest equipment for detecting breast abnormalities. Our digital mammography unit uses computers and specially designed digital detectors to produce an image that can be displayed on a high-resolution computer monitor, and transmitted and stored just like computer files. The technology allows radiologists to adjust brightness, change contrast and zoom in on specific areas to help detect small calcifications, masses and other changes that may be signs of early breast cancer. The radiation dose received is very minor.
Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) for Mammography
Our special CAD technology works as a second pair of "eyes" by automatically scanning a mammogram after initial interpretation. If the software detects any breast abnormalities, it marks them for further review by a radiologist.
Breast MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
Sometimes your mammogram does not reveal enough information, or a more detailed view is needed. In those situations we may need to do a breast MRI, which uses a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency pulses and a computer to produce detailed pictures of your breast tissue and lymph gland area. An MRI does not expose you to any radiation.
You get to choose who does your mammogram. In North Carolina, it is not necessary to have a physician refer you. So if it’s time to have a mammogram please call us to set up an appointment at your convenience at 336-781-4299.
By providing you the best diagnostic tools to support the early detection and treatment of osteoporosis, our equipment by Hologic offers the most comprehensive platform for complete bone health assessment now and in the future. The benefit of a bone density test is it can diagnose osteoporosis before a broken bone occurs. This test helps to estimate the density of your bones and your chance of breaking a bone. National Osteoporosis Foundation recommends a bone density test of the hip and spine to diagnose osteoporosis. It estimates the amount of bone in your hip, spine and sometimes other bones. Your test result will help your health care provider make recommendations to help you protect your bones.
A bone density test tells you if you have normal bone density, low bone density (osteopenia) or osteoporosis. It is the only test that can diagnose osteoporosis. The lower your bone density, the greater your risk of breaking a bone. A bone density test can help you and your healthcare provider:
- Learn if you have weak bones or osteoporosis before you break a bone
- Predict your chance of breaking a bone in the future
- See if your bone density is improving, getting worse or staying the same
- Find out how well an osteoporosis medicine is working
- Let you know if you have osteoporosis after you break a bone
Who Should Have a Bone Density Test?
The National Osteoporosis Foundation recommends that you have a bone density test if:
- You are a woman age 65 or older
- You are a man age 70 or older
- You break a bone after age 50
- You are a woman of menopausal age with risk factors
- You are a postmenopausal woman under age 65 with risk factors
- You are a man age 50-69 with risk factors
Ultrasound examination, also called sonography or diagnostic medical sonography, is an imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce precise images of structures within your body. The images produced during an ultrasound examination often provide information that's valuable in diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and conditions.
Siemens ACUSON S2000 Ultrasound System expands ultrasounds beyond its traditional role. It offers superior-quality images and supports a broad range of applications including urology, OB/GYN, vascular, perinatology, pediatrics, neurology and general radiology.
Now radiologists can instantly see expansive views of internal organs using high-resolution, real-time ultrasound. This technology delivers superb 2D, 3D, Doppler and 4D imaging for the most demanding clinical applications.
This system provides patients with more efficient and cost-effective care. In some cases, the large amount of information instantly provided by the panoramic image eliminates the need for more expensive tests, such as MRI and CT.
An X-ray (radiograph) is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Imaging with X-rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body. X-rays are the most frequently used form of medical imaging.
Our Siemens Ysio Digital Radiology System provides the ultimate convenience in imaging and diagnosis. Perhaps its biggest offering is the removable, wireless detector that actually lets the imaging source be brought straight to the patient.
