Outpatient Dialysis Centers
Dialysis Services Close to Home
Wake Forest Baptist Health owns 16, free-standing, outpatient dialysis centers, located throughout the Triad and the Western Piedmont region, allowing patients to access dialysis services close to home. All centers offer in-center hemodialysis in two shifts, Monday-Saturday. The first treatment shift begins at 6 a.m.; the second at 11 a.m. Most treatments generally last four hours depending on the physicians’ orders. Television sets are available for patients during their treatment, however, food is not allowed in the treatment area.
An active Home Therapies program is offered at Piedmont Dialysis Center, High Point Kidney Center, Lake Norman Dialysis Center, Lexington Dialysis Center, Mt. Airy Dialysis Center, Statesville Dialysis Center, and Yadkin Dialysis Center where individuals are trained to perform both peritoneal and home hemodialysis therapies. Individuals receive training based on chosen modality.
Wake Forest University Outpatient Dialysis Centers accept referrals from all dialysis facilities and nephrology practices. Please call 336 723 1080.
