Researcher to Speak about Dietary Supplements and Disease Prevention in Children

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Linda Linday, M.D., a researcher who focuses on the role of certain dietary supplements in preventing childhood obesity and upper respiratory illnesses, will speak at BestHealth at Hanes Mall on March 8.

Linday, an assistant clinical professor at College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University, will speak at 4 p.m. on “Preventing Colds, Ear Infections and Sinusitis with Dietary Supplements.” Registration is required. Call 336-716-2255 or register on-line at www.besthealth.com/seminars.

The talk is sponsored by the Program for Holistic & Integrative Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. It is part of the Booke Visiting Professor series, sponsored by local philanthropist Sam Booke, Jr.

Linday is a graduate of Columbia Medical School and trained at the New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for several years in medical affairs and clinical research. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. She studies the role of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants in disease prevention.
