Eight New Physicians Join Faculty of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center has announced the following additions to its faculty:
Joining the department of neurology are: Jeffrey M. Craig M.D., assistant professor. Craig’s clinical interests include stroke and neuro-hospitalist.
He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville College of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship in neurology at Wake Forest Baptist.
Kara D. Eickman, M.D., assistant professor.  Eickman’s clinical interests include neuromuscular diseases.
She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist.
 Nuhad Abou Zeid, M.D., assistant professor. Abou Zeid’s clinical interests include multiple sclerosis.
She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and earned her medical degree from American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Abou Zeid completed her residency at Duke University and her fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
Kristi L. Tucker, M.D., assistant professor. Tucker’s clinical interests include neurocritical care.
She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Wake Forest Baptist and her fellowship at Johns Hopkins. 
Ihtsham ul Haq M.D., assistant professor. Haq’s clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease, deep brain stimulation and dystonia.
He earned his medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in New York and completed his residency at Staten Island University Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital and his fellowship at Shands University Hospital at the University of Florida.
Joining the department of neurosurgery are: Alexander K. Powers, M.D., assistant professor. Power’s clinical interests include epilepsy surgery, pediatric and adult neurosurgery, spasticity management, pediatric spine surgery, complex pediatric and adult spinal deformity and sports-related injury to spine and brain.
Power’s earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and completed his residency at Wake Forest Baptist and his fellowship at the St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Joining the department of pediatrics, section of hematology and oncology: Kevin Buckley, M.D., assistant professor. Buckley’s clinical interests include hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, pediatric hematology and oncology, infections in immunocompromised populations, and immune reconstitution after chemotherapy.
He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in hematology and oncology, and pediatric infectious disease. He earned his medical degree from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
In the department of pediatrics, section on medical genetics: Chad Haldeman-Englert, M.D., assistant professor. Haldeman-Englert’s clinical interests include adult and pediatric genetics and genetic disorders.
He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center and his fellowships at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania.
