Quit Smoking
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Held at Walmart, 130 Lowes Boulevard, Lexington. Do you want to quit smoking? Stop by the Walmart in Lexington to speak with health care professionals from Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center to learn why it’s important to quit smoking and kick the habit for good. Meditation

Morning Coffee Break: Kick the Smoking Habit

Held at the Live Well Center, Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center, 250 Hospital Drive, Lexington. In this free information session presented by Chandra Parker, learn why it is more important now than ever to quit smoking and how you can kick the habit for good. Held at Clemmons United Methodist Church, 3700 Clemmons Road (Hwy. 158), Clemmons.Sponsored by the Wake Forest Baptist Health Heart Center, this event includes heart-health information, activities and screenings for HDL/glucose, blood pressure, BMI, aortic stenosis (AS) and 12-lead EKG. Hearing Screening in Lexington

This is a free, basic hearing test for individuals who have not been diagnosed with hearing loss and are not currently using a hearing aid. Provided by audiologist Jamie Hampton. My Kids Are Driving Me Crazy!

PAD: A Clinical Update
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Held at Miller Plaza, 4th floor, conference room C, 2200 Cloverdale Avenue (on the corner of Miller St. and Cloverdale Ave.), Winston-Salem. Matthew Corriere, M.D., of Wake Forest Baptist Health vascular and endovascular surgery discusses the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a common and under diagnosed cardiovascular disease that often involves pain in the legs and back.
