The Voice Center

The Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is part of the Department of Otolaryngology and is devoted to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of voice disorders. The research and clinical activities of the Center are multidisciplinary, and involve laryngology, speech pathology, neurology, gastroenterology, and vocal pedagogy.

Cochlear Implants

 Cochlear implantation has been offered at North Carolina Baptist Hospital since the 1980's. Cochlear implants are for people with severe to profound hearing loss in both ears who are not receiving sufficient benefit from hearing aids.
