Admission to the Wake Forest School of Medicine Physician Assistant (WFSM PA) Program is very competitive. Applicants are evaluated on their individual merits, and admission decisions are based on a combination of academic record, GRE scores, personal references, a written personal statement, a personal interview, previous health care experience, and a variety of non-cognitive traits.
Prospective applicants should review the links in this section to learn about requirements for admission, the application process, and WFSM PA Program open house sessions. Before contacting the PA Program with questions, read the “Frequently Asked Questions” page to see if your questions are answered there.
The WFSM PA Program is committed to diversity in its admissions process. Diversity as a core value embodies inclusiveness, mutual respect, and multiple perspectives and serves as a catalyst for change resulting in health equity. In this context, we are mindful of all aspects of human differences, including socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, language, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, geography, disability, and age.
