The physician assistant program at Wake Forest School of Medicine is a graduate level program that awards a Master of Medical Science (MMS) degree. The program enrolls 64 students in early June each year on our Winston-Salem campus. In September 2013, the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved a proposed change to establish within the program a distant campus in Boone, NC, beginning in June 2014. The off-site location has also been approved by SACSCOC. The campus expansion in Boone is approved to accept up to 32 students in addition to the class of 64 at the Winston-Salem campus.
The program reserves the right to revise information, requirements, regulations or financial charges at any time. Whenever changes occur, an effort will be made to notify persons who may be affected.
