Patient Story: Emily Mash

Emily Mash

Emily Mash was two days away from her wedding when she was diagnosed with cancer. At first, she assumed the stress of planning a wedding was causing her to feel ill. But she realized the problem was more serious when a tumor was found on her uterus. After the tumor was removed, Emily’s health wasn’t improving, and it was discovered that she had four spots of cancer on her lungs.

Emily had her first round of chemotherapy treatment the day before her wedding and her second round the day after she returned from her honeymoon.

She fought back with the help and support of family and friends, and of course, her new husband. Now, she is healthier than ever, running 5Ks and competing in power lifting competitions. Emily has become a trainer to help others be as healthy as they can be.
