J. Daniel Bourland Lifetime Achievement Award

J. Daniel Bourland, PhD, Professor of Radiation Oncology, Physics, and Biomedical Engineering, recently received the Jimmy O. Fenn Lifetime Achievement Award from the Souteast Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (SEAAPM). The Fenn Award is presented for outstanding career achievements and leadership in the medical physics profession and contributions to the SEAAPM.   The award was presented on April 21, 2012 at the annual SEAAPM meeting in Atlanta, GA, by Dr. Michael T. Munley, Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology, Physics, and Biomedical Engineering, President of the SEAAPM. Dr. Bourland is a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, serves on physics society boards and FDA panels, and heads the WFU graduate program in medical physics.
