If you are a new patient, you can make an appointment with any of our primary care physicians who are accepting new patients by requesting an appointment online or calling 336-716-WAKE (9253).
If you are a returning patient, you may contact your clinic directly to schedule an appointment with your doctor. When you call, be prepared to give your physician’s name, your date of birth and your insurance information. Knowing the reason for your visit will allow the operators to properly schedule your appointment.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time to check in with the receptionist. For routine office visits, please try to make your appointments in advance so that you may see your assigned physician. Notify us as soon as possible when you must cancel an appointment.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
When unexpected circumstances will not allow you to keep a scheduled appointment, please call us to cancel as soon as possible.
If you miss an appointment without calling us to cancel it, we are unable to serve another patient at that time, which makes it difficult for us to provide our patients with the medical care they deserve.
Repeatedly missing appointments can also make it difficult for us to continue providing expert care.
If you should suddenly become ill, please call the office as early in the day as possible. A nurse will return your call and help you decide whether an immediate visit is needed. We try to schedule all of your visits with your regular physician, but it may be necessary for another physician to see you for an acute illness. If you cannot get in to see your regular primary care physician, we have two urgent care clinics that require no appointment and are open 7 days a week and weekends.
Please contact your pharmacy for medication refills. Your pharmacist will call us. Please try to call your pharmacist for refills before you run out of the medication. An appointment may be required if you have not seen your physician within the last year.
If you need a prescription refilled, it is faster to have your pharmacist contact us; however, it may still take up to 48 hours to respond to refill requests.
We can only help with prescription refills during our regular office hours.
Our office policy does not allow us to prescribe narcotics or other controlled drugs over the phone. Antibiotic prescriptions usually require an appointment.
Lab and X-Rays
Most basic blood work, urine tests and cultures are done in our hospital laboratory. We will inform you about when to expect the test results. If you have not been contacted with the results by that time, you may call the office. You will be contacted immediately if important abnormalities are found.
We admit our patients to Wake Forest Baptist Health. Your care will be provided by a team of our physicians who remain in contact with your personal physician. We will keep you and your family advised daily regarding the plan for diagnosis and treatment of your illness.
Whenever possible, we ask that you contact the clinic before 4 p.m. This especially applies to prescription refills.
If you have an acute illness and need to see a physician after hours, we have two urgent care clinics that require no appointment and are open 7 days a week and weekends.
Our office fees are similar to those of other primary care physicians in the community. A fee schedule is available upon request. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.
