Long Study Name: A Phase 2 Randomized Study to Investigate the Efficacy and Safety of LY2495655 Versus Placebo in Older Patients Who Have Fallen Recently and Have Muscle Weakness
Study Type: Muscle Intervention
Study Purpose:
This study is being done to see how safe an investigational drug LY2495655 is and how well it will work to help people with muscle wasting. Muscle wasting includes shrinking of the muscle and weakness. This can occur when a muscle is no longer as active as usual.
Study Design:
To test if LY2495655 increases lean body mass. Lean body mass is a guess of how much you weigh without bones or fat. Lean body mass measures the muscle only.
Study Qualifications:
- Age:75 and older and have fallen in the last year
- Have Generalized Muscle weakness
Study Duration: 42 weeks
