Neurology Residency Program

Mission
The primary mission of the Neurology Residency training program at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is to train outstanding clinical neurologists with the ultimate goal to provide physicians of the highest quality to provide neurological care to people in need. A secondary goal is to identify and nurture potential clinician-researchers and clinician-educators to become the next generation of academic physicians to educate future doctors-in-training and carry on the clinical research that is vital to the ongoing improvement of health care in the United States.

About the Program
The adult and pediatric residency programs at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center are designed to provide a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient clinical exposures, and to supplement this with a broad-based, didactic educational experience.  The residents receive extensive, hands-on training in neurophysiology and diagnostic testing. The residents also have the opportunity to participate in both clinical and basic science research. This is all done in a collegial teaching environment with dedicated faculty.
