Residency Application Process

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program is a four year training program.  There are twenty-four (24) RRC approved residency positions.

Applications are received through the Electronic Residency Application Service  (ERAS).  Please note that any questions regarding ERAS should be directed to your Dean's Office/Office of Student Activities or the ERAS web site.

More details about the application process can be found on our medical center's house staff website including information on contracts, benefits, institutional policies, and foreign medical graduate requirements.

Application deadline is November 4, 2013. Completed ERAS application should include the following:

  • The ERAS common application form
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Official medical school transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Current CV
  • USMLE Step 1 & 2 (CS and CK) scores
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)

All that is required for consideration is graduation from an accredited medical school. We do not require previous clinical experience or United States experience for foreign medical graduates.

If you should have any additional questions regarding the application process, please contact Megan Hardison, Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Coordinator, at (336)-716-4615 or mreilley@wakehealth.edu.
