Core Curriculum Requirements
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the national organization responsible for accrediting residency programs, has mandated that all institutions sponsoring residency programs must have a "common curriculum." This curriculum is meant to cover a number of topics which apply to all resident physicians, regardless of their medical discipline.
We believe you will gain valuable information through the material presented in this program. This curriculum is not meant to replace, but rather complement the information and experience gained while under the guidance of your individual department.
A new American Medical Association web based program, Introduction to the Practice of Medicine Notification was instituted on July 1, 2013.
