How to apply

Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowships

The Wake Forest School of Medicine Surgical Critical Care and AAST-accredited Acute Care Surgery Fellowships use the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).  Read more to view the fellowship eligibility criteria.  For more information about the NRMP match process refer to the Specialties Matching Service website.  After registering with the NRMP, applicants should complete the online application and submit a current Curriculum Vitae and three recent letters of recommendation.  Interviews will be arranged with the applicant based on the CV and letters of recommendation during August and September for the following academic year.  Match lists are due by the end of September and match day is at the end of October.  Refer to the NRMP website for the specific schedule of dates. The application process for Surgical Critical Care is transitioning to using ERAS as a common way to apply to programs.  Please complete an ERAS application as well to apply to the Wake Forest ACS fellowship.
