Research Focus
Dr. Stone’s primary research focus is exploring meniscus biology and the molecular alterations in response to injury. Goals of the research include therapies for meniscus injury to prevent early osteoarthritis development, decreased time to return to activity following injury, and meniscus implants. Additional research interests include juvenile osteochondritis dissecans and joint response to repetitive stress, and musculoskeletal tissue engineering and scaffold development. Dr. Stone is also currently collaborates with the Section of Molecular Medicine and is enrolled in the Molecular Medicine and Translational Science doctorate program.
