Research Program

The Research Program of the Women’s Health Center of Excellence for Research, Leadership, Education (WHCOE), has several goals: To (1) increase the visibility of women’s health research, (2) expand research in women’s health within the institution, (3) expand venues for keeping researchers, clinicians, and health professionals abreast of cutting edge research, and (4) promote cross-campus and interdisciplinary collaboration in women’s health research.
Research Seminar Series.
The series serves to facilitate interaction and collaboration between investigators in women’s health by providing a forum for sharing the findings of recent research in a broad range of disciplines.

Workshops are intended for faculty and research staff at no cost, but registration is required. These sessions will be brown bag. Drinks and snacks provided.

The Research Program's faculty committee provides scientific review of grant proposals upon request. The committee also provides assistance in responding to grant reviewers. Faculty Research Awards in Women’s Health
The WHCOE Faculty Research Awards in Women’s Health are designed to reward and encourage the continued pursuit of excellence in women’s health research at Wake Forest School of Medicine (WFSM).
Now Accepting Nominations for 2012: Two New Investigator awards will be presented to faculty members who are early in their careers and are conducting women’s health research in basic or clinical science at WFSM for at least the past 3 years. Deadline for Materials Submission: February 13, 2012. For more information, view the flier.
