  • Dr. Suzanne Craft presented initial results from the intranasal insulin trials at AAIC on July 13, 2014 as part of an oral presentation entitled,  “Therapeutic Effects of Intranasal Insulin and Insulin Analogues on Cognition and MRI Measures in Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer's Disease”. Dr. Laura Baker was a coauthor.
  • Dr. Laura Baker presented initial results from the PACE study at AAIC on July 13, 2014as part of an oral presentation entitled, “Effects of Aerobic Exercise on Cognition and Biomarkers in Adults with a Double-Hit Risk for Dementia: Mild Cognitive Impairment and Prediabetes”. Dr. Suzanne Craft was a coauthor.
  • Dr. Tim Hughes presented a poster from the ACCORD MIND study, entitled: “Plasma amylin levels are associated with brain structure among individuals with type-2 diabetes”. Drs. Suzanne Craft, Mike Miller and Jeff Williamson were coauthors.
  • Bryan Neth presented a poster from the ADNI study, entitled: “Markers of inflammation and vascular dysfunction are differentially associated with hippocampal volume by cognitive status in ADNI” as part of the AAIC on July 15, 2014 and at the Imaging Pre-Conference on July 12, 2014.   • Bryan Neth also presented a poster, entitled: “An arts-based brain fitness program for persons with dementia: a pilot study” at AAIC on July 14, 2014. Drs. Christina Hugenschmidt, Henry Colmer, Ed Shaw, Kaycee Sink and Rabeena Alli were coauthors.
  • Dr. Ramon Casanova presented two posters on machine learning, entitled: “Combining structural MRI, Proteomic and Genetic ADNI data for early detection of Alzheimer's disease via Random Forest classifiers” on Monday, July 14, 2014 and “Relative impact of sample size and dimensionality of predictors on two machine learning methods for detection of Alzheimer's disease” on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.
