Gallery Spaces

Pastel Artwork

There are 10 galleries throughout the Medical Center where visual art is displayed to provide visual stimulation for patients, visitors and employees. Contact information for individual artists is available upon request or in each gallery. Exhibits are displayed for 3 months and are coordinated through the Arts for Health program's Art Curator, Barbara Cullen.

Commons Gallery

Located in the Medical School Lobby, Ground Floor

Susan Peters of Fuquay-Varina displays a variety of work painted in acrylic and mixed media.

Family Medicine Gallery

Located in Piedmont Plaza I, Third Floor

Clemmons area artist Linda Foster exhibits several watercolor paintings that feature florals, buildings and turtles.

Reynolds Gallery

Winston -Salem group, The Piedmont Craftsman display 3-d pieces along with fabrics.

Sticht Gallery

Located on the Ground Floor

  • Gallery 1: Vicki Rees from Raleigh displays a collection of her oil paintings depicting nature and landscapes.
  • Gallery 2: Hildebran photographer Joni Warren exhibits a group of photographs focusing on nature.

Spine Gallery

Winston-Salem artist Harriet Couture displays a seascape featuring a boat.

Watlington Gallery

Located on the First Floor

Winston-Salem artist Harriet Couture is exhibiting a collection of watercolor paintings depicting florals, landscapes, etc.

Executive Suite Gallery

Located in Janeway Tower, Tenth Floor

  • Local artist Craig Richards exhibits oil paintings of various landscapes.
  • Harriet Couture has additional floral watercolors.
  • Joni Warren’s photography exhibit highlights places that she has traveled to including Southwestern landscapes.
  • Vicki Rees additional oil painted pieces depict outdoor wildflower florals.

Brenner Children's Hospital

Located on the Ninth Floor

Arts for Life gallery featuring the children of Brenner's artwork.    

Davie Medical Center

East Bend artist Sharon Grubbs is exhibiting a variety of oil paintings including figurative, rural landscapes, and coastal scenes.


Winston-Salem artist Cheryl Powell is exhibiting a pastel along with her oil paintings, that depict outdoor street scenes.
