Worker Health Expertise

Michael S. Cartwright, MD
Assistant Professor, Neurology

Cartwright is a neurologist with expertise in conditions affecting the peripheral nervous system (neuromuscular diseases).  He has clinical and research experience with peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), carpal tunnel syndrome, and myopathies.  He has particular interest in the use of high-resolution ultrasound to assist in the evaluation of complicated neuromuscular conditions, and is currently working on a study to determine the prevalence of carpal tunnel syndrome and other musculoskeletal diseases in poultry workers.
