Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center summer
internships offer college undergraduates and graduate students the chance to
expand their learning experiences beyond the classroom.
The internships offer students
the opportunity to work and learn alongside Medical Center leaders and network
with other WFBMC summer interns. If you wish, you can also participate in a
city-wide program that will allow you to meet interns from other organizations
within the Winston-Salem community. Our internship program opportunities include:
- Exposure to
an academic medical center environment
- Campus tours
Resources coaching (e.g., resume building, interview skills)

Marketing & Communications
Summer housing is available.
Students must meet minimum qualifications noted in the job
description and successfully complete the selection process. The selection
process may include departmental interviews; submission of essays, references
and GPA; and successful completion of employee onboarding processes.

- Summer internship
opportunities will be posted in November and December.
- The selection process will
take place in January and February.
- Selected candidates will be

Other Internship Opportunities
Other internships are available outside
the formal Summer Internship program. These opportunities are arranged by
individual departments and may be offered at various times throughout the year.
You may wish to contact departments that fit your area of
interest to find out if they have internship opportunities available. You can
find information about individual departments, along with contact information,
on the Wake
Forest Baptist Health website. Please be
aware that Human Resources does not arrange internships.
If you pursue an opportunity outside the formal Summer
Internship program, it is your responsibility to make sure the experience meets
your educational requirements.
