Free Event on Women?s Heart Health Scheduled for June 15

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Women’s Heart Day, a free event featuring health screenings and information about women and heart disease, will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 15 at the Winston-Salem YWCA.

The event is sponsored by the Women’s Health Center of Excellence at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center (WFUBMC) in cooperation with the YWCA and WFUBMC’s Heart Center.

Activities will include seminars on how nutrition, physical activity and hormones affect heart health, cholesterol and glucose screenings, chair massages, make-up touch-ups, and an optional workout at the “Y.”
