Pediatric Orthopaedics

While You Are in the Hospital

After a couple of days, a physical therapist (PT) will come to your room to help you get out of bed. The PT will work with you to walk around your room.

There are 3 things you should be able to do before you can go home:

  1. Walk around the room and hallway
  2. Eat and drink
  3. Have a bowel movement

The nurses and therapists will help you every day.

Remember, the more you walk, the faster you will be able to accomplish all the other things too.
