Orientation Conflicts

If you are not able to attend, please notify the GME Office at gme@wakehealth.edu and your individual program immediately. You will not be allowed to start training until you have completed the orientation process.

Badge Office

  • Closed daily from 12 pm - 1 pm

Parking  

Employee parking information will be provided when you obtain your ID badge and parking decals. Please use your assigned parking area. Note: You will not receive your badge until first day of orientation so for that day please park in Parking Deck A, B, C.

2018 New House Staff Orientation Schedule
Session I - First Year Internal Medicine Categorical and Preliminary Residents
June 20-22
  • Wednesday, June 20 – General Hospital Orientation
    •    7:30 AM – Noon - Cancer Center, 10 Floor
    • 1:00 PM – Departmental Orientation
      • House Staff should activate their Medical Center ID and password
  • Thursday, June 21
    • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – WakeOne Training
      • Lunch is provided.
  • Friday, June 22
    • 8:00 AM – Noon – Safety and Professional Development Workshop, Cancer Center
      • Lunch is provided.
Session II – Residency and Fellowship Programs
(Except Orthopedics, Surgical Critical Care and Surgical Oncology Fellowships)
June 27 – 29
  • Wednesday, June 27 – General Hospital Orientation
    • 7:30 AM – Noon - Babcock Auditorium, Main Campus
    • 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM - WakeOne Fast Track for House Staff with prior EPIC training as a House Staff member. . If Fast Track is completed satisfactorily, then WakeOne attendance on June 28 is not required.
    • 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Fast Track for Emergency Medicine
  • Thursday, June 28
    • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – WakeOne Training
      • Lunch is provided.
  • Friday, June 29 - Safety and Professional Development Workshop
    • 8:00 AM – Noon - Bridger Field House, Deacon Blvd. (across from LJMV Coliseum)
      • Lunch is provided
    • 2:00 PM – Wake Wings Training for all programs with Operating Room access. Also included GI and Pulmonary Fellowships.
Session III
Orthopedic, Surgical Critical Care and Surgical Oncology Fellowship
July 30 – August 1, August 7
  • Monday, July 30 - 8:00 AM – Noon – Hospital Orientation
    • 1:00 PM – Departmental Orientation
  • Tuesday, July 31 - 8:00 AM – General and Fast Track WakeOne Training
  • Wednesday, August 1 – 8:00 AM - WakeOne Training
  • Tuesday, August 7 – Wake Wings Training
