Fellowship Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for Surgical Critical Care Fellow Appointment

Two Year Training in Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery:

Candidates for the two year Surgical Critical Care and AAST-accredited Acute Care Surgery Fellowship must have completed (or are on track to complete) an ACGME-accredited graduate educational program in the discipline of general surgery and be board eligible or certified by the American Board of Surgery.  Candidates must be eligible for obtaining a medical license in the state of North Carolina.  Applicants should have an interest in Surgical Critical Care, Trauma Surgery, and Emergency General Surgery and be committed to become leaders in the field.
