Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers educational programs for all levels of medical providers.  During each learning phase, we offer programs for third and four year Medical Students, Residents who have chosen to specialize in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, and Fellows focusing on Maternal Fetal Medicine or Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.  After residency and fellowship completion, our department provides a continuing education Grand Rounds Conference which offers CME credit that can be applied toward license renewal.  This conference is available to our Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center faculty and our community physicians as well as nurses and other medical providers involved in the field of obstetrics and/or gynecology.

In addition to having both Maternal Fetal Medicine and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowships in our department, we have outstanding sub-specialty representation all these areas:

  • Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
  • Gynecologic Oncology
  • Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Contraception and Family Planning
  • Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology
