100% PANCE pass rate for the second year in a row
Congratulations to the Wake Forest PA Class of 2015, all of
whom passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) on
their first attempt! This is the second year in a row that Wake Forest PA Program
graduates have achieved a 100% first-time test-taker pass rate. According to
the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), which
administers the boards, the pass rate nationally for first-time test takers has
averaged 94% for the past five years.
Wake Forest PA Class of 2015 results reflect the hard work of the class as well
as multiple contributions of faculty and staff in the Department of Physician
Assistant Studies. Achievement of the 100% pass rate also coincides with
continued development and expansion of the Office of Academic Excellence in PA
Studies. This innovative program translates adult learning theory into
programmable interventions to analyze student learning styles, improve
test-taking skills, and provide other types of academic support.
