The Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter of the ALS Association fights this disease by raising money and awareness to fund local services and programs that support our PALS (People Living with ALS) in North Carolina.
The Winston-Salem Walk to Defeat ALS ®, set for Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Bridger Field House at BB&T Stadium, is one such event that is a crucial piece of the fight against ALS. The Walk empowers people with ALS, their families, friends, and the business community to fight back against a disease that leaves many feeling powerless. Join one of the Wake Forest Baptist teams!
This year’s Walk will feature live music, food, and family entertainment including face painting and a bouncing castle. The goal of the 2014 Winston-Salem Walk to Defeat ALS is to raise $150,000 and have 2500 Walkers come out to support those in their community who are living with ALS. Please join us on May 3, and show your support by Walking for those who no longer can.
