The Year of the Nurse

2020 Year of the Nurse and MidwifeThe World Health Organization (WHO), has designated 2020 the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife. Nurses and midwives play a vital role in providing health services, not just in our community but all over the world. These are the front line workers who devote their lives to their patients; giving lifesaving immunizations and health advice; looking after the elderly and ensuring everyone receives care.

"At over 3 million strong, nurses are the largest group of healthcare professionals in the U.S. and consistently ranked the most trusted profession. They are not just the backbone of health care services but the heart and soul as well."
