SilverSneakers

Through a partnership with Healthways and the SilverSneakers program, we are pleased to offer all SilverSneakers members a free membership at the Fitness Center.

The SilverSneakers program is a lifestyle enhancement program offering subsidized fitness center memberships for any Medicare eligible individuals (65 years and older) who are affiliated with one of the many partnering insurance providers.

“This means as a SilverSneakers member, you pay nothing to be a member of our certified medical fitness center and you will receive all of the same great supervision and benefits  we are well known for delivering. In today's economy, this is a true health care benefit," said Bob Forman, director of the Fitness Center.

The SilverSneakers Fitness Program is the nation’s leading fitness program designed exclusively for older adults. Today more than 40 Medicare health plans offer the program as a benefit to members across the nation. Regular participation in the program has been proven to help older adults manage their health and increase strength, balance and endurance.

With your SilverSneakers membership, use of the Fitness Center is unlimited and includes access to group exercise classes. Additional fee based programs and services are not included.

To find out if your health plan participates in SilverSneakers, please contact your plan administrator or visit the SilverSneakers website.

Personal Training

At High Point Medical Center, we know that personal training goes a long way with some individuals. Our personal training sessions are dedicated one-on-one exercise sessions with an exercise physiologist that will magnify the motivation and intensify the exercise experience. Our exercise physiologists are patient and listen to your personal training needs. Thirty or sixty-minute sessions are available as well as personal training packages. Fees do apply.
