    • January 25, 2023 Dr. Kay is great, I wish the front staff had better etiquette. 8 out of 10 phone calls go to message lines. If you are calling about appointments and select that then you usually get the call answered. If I hear one more time, sorry I am alone I might scream. Last visit there was 2 gals at the front, the girl to the left had her window closed with the sign to go to next window, I noticed she made a call to a patient. When I came out, her window was still closed and after a few minutes she did check-in a patient waiting I just feel more professionalism from the front staff is needed.

Not only is he knowledgeable, proactive, and has a fantastic bedside manner, he is very good at listening to the patient and their concerns not only about their heart issues but all the other things that you have going on in addition to.

My only concern is when I went for my appointment June 16 I never did get to see Dr.Kay.they put me in the room at 2:40 my appointment was at 3:00 but I waited and waited and no one came in to tell me he was running behind.i understand emergency.but someone should have came in and told me he was running late and I would have understood.but nothing I sat there until 3:40 still no one came so I left without seeing him.

    • May 26, 2022 Dr Kay is a rare breed among todays doctors ??? he takes the time to relate directly to my concerns and seems to really like his patients as people. I had a severe vaccine reaction while spending the winter in Az and remarkably he took the time to respond to me consistently online as I described the situation. He reco??ed I go to a cardiologist and get a full work up right away, which I did. As I gave him highlights of those results, he gave me quick , good feedback on how he saw it. In particular from his feedback generally agreeing with Az cardiologist, I felt comfortable getting a stress test without going ??? nuclear?? ( as AZ was pushing ) since I had sensitivity from radiation in the past. I actually got more understandable direction from him online than 4 visits to the very busy Az cardiologist office. This appt was my first follow up in person back in NC and gave me great confidence in where I am in healing and what I need to do.
