Special Activity Groups are self-sustaining groups that are affiliated with the Guild and have been formed by members who share a common enthusiasm for a specific area of interest. The organization, membership, meeting times and activities are determined and funded by the members in each group. For information on any of these groups, please email email@example.com.
Members meet five times during the year in each other’s homes. The group generally meets at 7 pm on the third Wednesday evening of the months of September, November, January, March and May.
This group meets for family-friendly events around the area, from meeting up at local events to participating in Guild-organized family activities. It is a great way to connect with other families in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center system.
Out and About
This group will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that arise during the year. These activities could be as varied as going to a good movie to visiting wineries or breweries to hiking or participating in a special tour of the city. The sky is the limit for this group!
Play Reading is the longest running Activity Group in the Guild. Members meet to read four plays per year and hold a pot luck dinner each June to choose plays for the coming year.
Members of this group meet several times a year where meals are prepared by members or where members attend a food demonstration or go on a field trip. Minimal annual dues are collected from each member to cover miscellaneous expenses.
The group meets in members’ homes weekly on Thursday afternoons. All levels of players are invited for a fun afternoon of social bridge.
