Wake Forest Baptist Health offers a one-year PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in an Ambulatory Care Setting. The resident will have the opportunity for direct patient care services in a variety of ambulatory practice settings such as within provider or pharmacist-run clinics or as part of the value-based care and transitional care team as well as inpatient and medication safety experiences in order to become a well-rounded practitioner. Two positions are available.

Why Wake Forest Baptist?

Our residency emphasizes a focus on longitudinal rotations to provide the residents continuity of care and to allow the residents to progress in their independence and clinical decision making over a longer period of time than a traditional rotation block model. The residents will gain experience in a variety of clinical settings with a focus on direct patient care, population health management, and transitions of care services. Board certified ambulatory care pharmacists will precept and mentor the residents throughout the year.
