Computed tomography (CT) involves the use of a rotating x-ray tube, combined with a digital computer to obtain images of the body. This technique enables us to obtain cross-sectional images of the body, organs and tissues.

Though there are many imaging techniques, CT imaging has the unique ability to offer clear images of diverse types of tissue. CT imaging can provide views of soft tissue, bone, muscle and blood vessels without forfeiting clarity.  All of these are extremely important when diagnosing different pathological processes.
