The Women's Imaging Suite is expressly designed for women who need mammography or ultrasound. This mammography boutique also conducts invasive studies.

All screenings and tests are performed by one of our mammography registered radiologic technologists. X-rays and exams are then read by a board-certified radiologist. For a mammogram, the breast is pressed between two plates to carefully and as comfortably as possible spread the tissue. The compression only lasts a few seconds. The entire procedure for a screening mammogram takes about 15-20 minutes.

Many women do not realize that you can choose who performs your mammogram. In North Carolina, it is not necessary to have a physician refer you.

The Women’s Imaging Suite, located on the main floor of High Point Medical Center Hospital, features state-of-the-art equipment and an experienced staff sensitive to the special needs of women. It is accredited by the American College of Radiology and certified by the Federal Drug Administration.
