About Me

As a Neuro-ophthalmologist,  I see patients with visual and ocular manifestations of neurologic conditions such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, brain tumors, as well as diseases of the optic nerve and other cranial nerves that impact vision. In this role, I often interact with our exceptional neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology specialists here at Wake Forest Baptist Health. I have been the program director for the ophthalmology residency training program for over 20 years, overseeing the training of our future ophthalmologists. I also perform cataract surgery and teach our residents this core surgical skill, and co-lead our cataract surgical missions to Honduras twice a year.
